We’re excited to announce that The Ozark Mountain Daredevils’ new single, “Spaceship Orion.”

For many years, “Spaceship Orion”—written by our late friend and bandmate Larry Lee—was one of the most requested songs that was no longer part of our live performances. Two years ago, we invited the incredibly talented Molly Healey to bring the song back to life on stage, and it quickly became a staple of our shows and a favorite of audiences everywhere.

Originally recorded at London’s legendary Olympic Studios in 1972 with the iconic Glyn Johns, it has now been lovingly re-recorded with our bandmate Nick Sibley at his studio in Springfield and mastered by our great friend Jeff Smith.

New release—digital download! This new single holds true to our classic sound—pure country rock/electric bluegrass with a hint of the absurd. We’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!
